A cool one.  But the bluegreen resin they have is also not bad!

Is this what a Signature Deluxe actually goes for nowadays?  That's almost $5,000 more than the list price on the Alembic site. I remember that when I had my custom Signature Deluxe built (I realize that it was 11-years ago and things have changed a tad since then), I purchased it through Will Gunn and got a discount on the suggested retail price, not a significant markup.

The resin-infused buckeye will be an upgrade over regular buckeye, I would imagine. And it has options that will add up - continuous wooden backplates, side LEDs, and chrome plating.

No waiting either! That may certainly motivate a buyer to pay that price.

If I’m going to be paying a price like that for an instrument from a company that is known for its custom work, I’m probably going to bite the bullet and wait to get exactly what I want. That’s what I did in 2012 with my Custom Signature Deluxe which had a number of upgrades but which I received in 9 months.

The older I get the less I would like to wait over a year for an instrument. I'd be happy to pay list if I could find a bass that is close to a custom I would order.
