Oh wow... Carribean Blue Burst. I have only seen one other Alembic in that finish. It was a Distillate 5-string. Long time ago.

*ahhh... says this is a Pat Wilkins refinish. He's pretty close. https://club.alembic.com/index.php?topic=23469.msg235041#msg235041

Gregory! ;D

The Distillate looks nice.  String spacing looks accommodating.

To each his own... and at that price this will probably sit unsold for a long time.

I wonder sometimes if the actual brick-n-mortar shops don't just run ads on the online platforms as a means to drive a private sale. Of course they aren't supposed to, but what stops this? What stops someone, anyone, from calling up LowEnd and making a deal one this, or any other bass they have?

Same for any other dealer. And if somebody pays the inflated online price, hey, they covered the spread.

LowEnd used to do a lot of consignment sales, and typically had a few Alembics in store, right outside of Nashville.

I like that "real" one much better than this refinish - this one has too much yellow for my taste.

I'd say the real thing barely has any yellow.

I like that Oceanburst better than the Carribbean burst, personally. And I really like burst finishes, but the Caribbean burst though just seems odd. It reminds me of the old Gibson Style 11... kinda' grows on you, but takes a while.

I wonder what the original finish was on this one? Makes you wonder why someone decided on this color scheme.
