Recently moved and found the build sheet for my old '92 Elan 5 string that I sold years ago. The bass was stolen and retrieved missing parts, sanded down and stained black. It was sold in this condition, basically a "husk" with most of the parts.
I don't remember what platform I used to sell the bass, I did a cursory look and came up empty.

If anyone here knows its whereabouts I'd like to get the paperwork to the owner if they would like it.

Thanks!!

  • What chaos . . . ?
Ah, you seek Gregory (aka Edward of Huncote)

Not sure if he is recovered enough to get in to this.  But he is That Guy* that knows more than anyone should about sn’s and locations of instruments.

Here is your earlier thread, hope it helps.

Ha! I might be *that guy*, but probably not much help this time. I do declare that there is another thread on this bass though... the one Bro. Paul referenced is well before my time, but something tells me that particular Elan 5 resurfaced again in my time here.

Let me dig around for it. I think it's in a troubleshooting thread, or maybe a very old sale thread... like, "I'll buy this if I can get parts for it" kinda' deal. It's been at least 6-7 years ago. Maybe more.

Awesome! Thank You!
I had forgotten even making that post(hard to believe it was in 2005!)...I do remember posting something later but my memory is not very good.
I'm still digging through emails/eBay etc. If I come up with anything I'll update.

The situation with that bass was such a negative for me...it would feel good to make a small positive lol.
Here's a "before before" shot of the bass. Had a lot of fun gigs with her.
