Hi There,
This is a real shot in the dark, but I figured it couldn't hurt to ask: I found original paperwork for two alembic basses amongst my late father's belongings (these basses are not in our possession). I assume my dad owned these basses at one point, but must have sold them some time ago (most likely in the 90s, in Los Angeles).

Serial Numbers for these basses are:
78-988
77-944

I thought the current owners might like to have the original order forms, correspondence with Alembic, etc. But I have no way of tracking them down. Any chance that one of the users on here owns one (or both?) of these basses?

Welcome.  I did a search for those serial numbers on the Alembic Club and on google and did not find anything. Hopefully there is a member or two here who are the current custodians of those basses.  I like the older basses and would like to see what they look like.  :)

Rob I trust your searching skills.  I also am anticipating Gregory to show up with something on this.

I already looked too... came up with nada. But you knew I would look! ;D   I do know who has 77-954. Just sent him a message about something unrelated the other day.

I trust they'll turn up here one day, and thanks to this post, we'll automatically have some history on them.  :)
