Due to bills, I must sell my beloved Series II Six String Bass, which was crafted by the fine people at Alembic in 2014.
The Specs are as Follows:
Series 2 Bass in Macassar Ebony (Top & Back, top is book matched to center, back has continuous wood back plates)
The core is Ash, the accents appear to be Mahogany (I don't have the Build Card- the original owner didn't have it when I purchased the bass)
The neck is Mahogany, Cherry, Maple, and Ebony with an Ebony fretboard and MOP oval inlays.
There are side LEDs in Blue & Amber (amber is 12th & 24th).
There is a Roland Synth Pickup installed near the bridge and of course, the 13 Pin input jack. The 5 pin stereo jack is on the side, the 1/4 inch jack is on the front.
There's an independent switch to turn the Roland Pickup on and off, as well as a separate volume control.
The hardware is either blackened or Ruthenium, not sure which, as the original owner wasn't certain, either.
This bass is the Balance K body shape with a Crown Headstock and Omega cutout on the bottom.
Guys, you all know exactly what you're looking at if you're looking at this bass. I don't know exactly how much this bass would cost to make, today, but with costs on the rise for everything, I would guess quite a lot more than I'm asking. Save yourself some time and money and get your hands on one of Alembic's absolute Masterpieces of an instrument.
This bass plays like butter, and sounds like THUNDER. It has all the low end you could ever dream of, as well as the clarity to match, and as S2 6's go, it's quite a lot lighter than most of the Alembic 6's I've played, with very few exceptions.
