Rogue 35" Comfort and Playability
« on: March 05, 2023, 06:31:31 AM »
Curious about those who own 35" scale Rogues. I was hoping for your insights. Any thoughts on benefits vs. liabilities with the 35"? I want to weigh tone vs comfort and playability. I understand that the Rogue is really a nice fit ergonomically, and that the bridge is set back so the "reach" to the lower frets should not be too much of an issue, but I also am considering that the frets are actually wider and could be harder to play for less experienced and "smaller" players. Love to hear your comparisons on the two scale lengths for this particular Alembic body. Thanks!

I had a 35" scale Rogue for about 14 years.  I just sold it for reasons completely unrelated to its playability.  It was a very comfortable instrument to play.  It felt like most of the other 35" scale basses I own.  Really comfortable, easy to play, don't even notice the extra length while playing.
