For Sale.
Serial # 79 1408 USA, Alembic Series 1, short (31”) scale, 4 string, with the graphite neck. Let me start with that I have no idea of the value of this unique bass. So with that I will entertain offers. I would also like any opinions of the value, or any thoughts from the vast experience of the Club members. This bass is amazingly crisp, clear, bright, responsive, and the sustain is incredible. The graphite neck stiffness and resonance with the body IMHO sets it apart from other Alembics. The graphite neck is incredibly stiff, and very straight. I bought this bass new, and am the only owner of this bass. As I understand, Alembic made around 50 graphite neck instruments. This bass went to the “mothership” in 2015 for complete refinish, refurbishment, re-fretting etc,. Due to its “uniqueness” or being “rare” coupled with condition of 9.8-9.9 I believe sets it apart. It is time for me to sell my bass of 44 years. It has been babied all its life, and lightly played since its return to the “mothership”. It has been kept in environmentally controlled area, and hasn’t been played in over 3 years. It comes in a new G&G from Alembic case, DS-5 power supply, 3, 5 pin cords 20, 25 ft, 2 new sets of CX-3/45S strings, 2 new .105” E strings, Moody Leather strap, 15’ 1/4” plug stereo to mono cord. The action is low and fast. I will be happy to provide action heights if anyone is interested. Also I have other things can either be packaged or separate, or or..… DS-5R, F2-B preamp, in a rack mount with a QSC GX-7 power amp. This runs 2 Fearful cabs. My setup has been the F112/8/3 coupled to bridge PU,, and F115/8/3 is coupled to the neck PU. all the cabs and rack with custom covers.
Other stuff in the pile.
Roland Stereo Flanger (Rack mount)
PROD2 Stereo direct box
