This listing sure seems fake or for a stolen instrument.  Seems they are calling the 1/4" jack a missing knob??

That was owned by someone here at the Club recently.  There was a discussion about that toggle switch near the tailpiece under either the trouble shooting or owning an Alembic threads.

Not sure about any of those points. The selector switch was moved first to the location above the volumes, which the owner felt got in the way, so the selector was moved once more to be in line with the Q switches, and a dummy pot with a small knob was installed in the vacated hole. The original poster is responding with all the right types of answers, so I doubt his account was hacked.

Olympic! Is that an inside joke on Talkbass?

This was talked about here.

The same bass, likely, but before the pickup selector was moved.

I've actually heard people pronounce it that way quite a bit. (Not while looking at the spelling, but rather in conversation) I would not be surprised if these instruments hailed from Mount Olympus.  ;D

My phone has yet to correctly spell Alembic from speech-to-text.

Speech detection still has trouble with the Boston accent.  :)

I also have been in software for about 30 years and refuse to converse with a computer. The only exception is if i'm driving and want to call someone, i use Siri. Other than that NO!
The sound of Alembic is medicine for the soul!
