ok i'll do a little cheerleading here.  i'm not a paid endorser.  YMMV.

i own hte slightly newer buckeye burl version of this bass.  it's recently turned into my fretted gigging instrument as i decided to man up and not buy a beater for when we play the scary parts of town.  letcha know how that goes later.  the series II's staying home until we land our first gig at red rocks.

if ya wanna bring the alembic vibe to the unwashed masses, then this is the bass for you:  light, tone that your average joe can't tell from a series II.  very comfortable strapped up.  satin neck finish has to be played to be appreactiated.  the body contour fits my aged and gnarled body.  much more ergonomic and easy to wear for a long set than the big-body 70's era series basses.  imho.  others may not agree.  sorry, rob ;-)

good luck with your sale sir!  she's abeauty!

Thanks BD

Couldn't agree more.  I have my series II which I'm finding a means to keep as my lifer main bass.

This bass feels super similar. I think for a five you can't beat the balanced k. Timeless looks and just feels and balances perfect.   Even non musicians comment on how great this design looks!

Hilarious. That's still a 20k bass your exposing the unwashed masses to lol. It will still bring the power, tone and rock as hard as you can
with your ability . rig and soundman. Milage my vary. It's not 'Night & Day". Great Bass! I'd love it if i was a five string guy..

Couldnt agree more. If I didn’t have my SII 5 this would be a lifer bass.  It’s so balanced and comfortable.  Looks wise the coco in person if off the charts.  These balanced K 5s are just an amazing design for a 5.  The signature electronics is the closest to series I’ve found.
