Alembic closed for Christmas?
« on: December 30, 2022, 04:12:56 PM »
I sure don't want to snow on anyone's party, but I was wondering if the Mothership had been closed for an unusually long time?

I'm feeling really sorry for myself as I broke my left wrist in two places (ball ends of ulna and radius), and was going to update my Orion's wiring. Then I discovered the balance preamp hadn't made it to the mailbox yet, in spite of my order having gone in on December 8; turns out the order is still showing as "Under review".

So I left emails in a couple places, and two days later, no joy. So i phoned, got to listen to some moments of fine bass playing on the answerbot, left a message, and I'm still no further ahead.

Do any folks here have any idea what's up? I know the weather has been horrific, but I didn't think it was that rough any where nearly that far south.

...and, of course since I got it down on electrons, I got an email giving me a USPS shipping number. Of course, the order still shows as "Pending review".  Sigh.

The SFO area weather has been bad.  My office out there shut down for a couple days 'cos we work outside mostly.  Good luck and Alembic will come through!
The only thing that stays the same is change.

Folks, I want to apologize. I just wanted to know what was happening, and my sarcastic neuro-divergent side came out.

Mica and all, please forgive me. Imma going to take a couple painkillers and sleep.

I hope your recovery goes well.  An injury like that can have a significant impact on regular everyday activities.
