Just Watched an Incredible Documentary (No Alembic Content)
« on: October 03, 2022, 12:24:22 AM »
Just watched an incredible documentary on Netflix that I suspect would be appreciated around here, especially amongst those of us that connect with nature and wildlife.  It’s called “My Octopus Teacher”.   A guy became friends with a wild Octopus in the ocean every day for nearly a year.   Some of the most amazing nature photography I’ve ever seen, no exaggeration.   The film won the Oscar for Best Documentary Feature last year.   Joe Bob says two big thumbs up!

I bet that is an interesting one. Octopus are known to be extremely intelligent.

Sounds familiar, I think I watched that one earlier this year.

I seem to recall Phil, in Searching For The Sound, reminiscing about friendship Jerry struck up with an octopus while they were diving in Hawai'i.

IIRC, there's some wonderful footage of Jerry interacting with a Moray Eel in "The Other One: The Long Strange Trip of Bob Weir" movie.

Now that you mention it, that rings a bell, Bill.
