That's a "dream" bass for sure!

This is actually my instrument. I posted it recently on the Alembic facebook fan page and then put it on reverb a few days later. Somebody told me it made an appearance here, which is nice.

With that said, I will offer the same price to you all that I listed on the Facebook group which is $12,000. I'd rather sell to one of you at a lower price than a random person on reverb. I know you all will appreciate it and play it the way it deserves to be played.

Selling now because my wife and I decided that we're finally outgrowing our first house and need more space. Need money for downpayment funds. If you know anybody who would want to buy the Clapton Custom Shop Tribute on my reverb page, I'd much rather sell that and keep this one!

This was a really cool build. We originally made it as a MKMB4 and a couple years later the second owner sent it in for the mega custom work. That's when all the inlays, LEDs, and an extension to the high frequencies of the filters was added. We also did a complete refinish and changed to chrome hardware.

The mother of pearl salamanders have turquoise diamonds on their backs. The eyes are super bright green LEDs. Usually they are 1/4" in diameter, but we needed smaller ones for here, so I got a hold of some 3mm ones just for this bass. I can't remember if I had to buy 100 or 500, but I have more of them!

I love learning more about the history of this one. Such a fun fact about the background of the LEDs.

Are the controls the following (my guess)?

volume
Pan
Filter x2
Q x2 (2 or 3 position?)

On/off fretboard LED switch
Fretboard LED dimmer
Side LED on/off switch
Switch for mono-stereo output

There is one more toggle switch too.

It would be interesting to hear what all of the controls actually are.

Very nice bass!

This has now been sold to a member of the Alembic fan page on Facebook, so it is going to a good home thankfully!
