Greg, you were right. Will Gunn just found out and called me just now. Short Scale. Not Medium scale.

Will Gunn = Encyclopedius Alembicus. (I'm guessing even Will had to phone-a-friend on that one, but my gut said short-scale...)

Will Gunn is hands-down a top dealer and rep for Alembic. He is involved in every aspect of the build; catching the smallest details that most don't really think about. Just fantastic. Thanks for recommending Will for my build that is just starting. My build card is just like 73-27 except East-Meets-West circuit, Caramel color AXY Fatboys and 32" scale.

What neck woods are you using? I'm using Myrtle with Walnut stringers for my build.

Hey Jimy, I had forgotten there were two of those Mac-inspired builds.  :)

Had you ever noticed the little brass ornament on the headstock we're discussing on the other thread? https://club.alembic.com/index.php?topic=27206.0

The 73-27 black original pickups were post trapezoid, pre-caramel, and the body shape is a lot like the '72 guitar models. It might be a build that started in '72.
