That is very attractive.  The varnish flaw does not detract from how desirable of an instrument that is.

Nothing like a fretless unlined ebony fingerboard imho ymmmv etc & so forth.

Now if that had 5 strings and was an SI or SII I'd be doing a bass inventory right about now to see who gets voted off of BeenDown island.
