Beautiful!   Is that maple or koa? I like the crown headstock too!

Thanks, friends! You know, I don't have the best eye for identifying tonewoods, but when I first saw it up for sale, I had thought it was a maple top... The original build card which came with the bass says Koa/Maple veneer and I'm pretty positive it's figured Koa(on top), then a thin layer of maple, followed by the bulk of the body being Mahogany.

Welcome. I had to adjust to medium scale, eventually prefering it over my long scales.
