maybe i'll do a video myself and you tube it. is it easy to do?
ill add to the make video part.
i try to do this with the minimum of equipment. i've found that a galaxy tablet in selfie mode (btw i finally figured out how to take out the mirror image in selfie mode. now when i post videos i actually look like i'm right handed) works really well. haven't tried it with a phone but it can't be that tough. put it on a music stand (a napkin holder works really well) facing you between you and your amp. unless you're camera-shy. then you can point it at your amp, i suppose. if you've seen any of my videos you can see i lost all sense of shame and modesty years ago. just hit the record button and let 'er rip, tater-chip!
apart from the narcissisism part (i love hearing myself play. just ask any of my ex-band-mates! the watching part - we're working on that), i've found that by recording myself i've become my own harshest critic. i analyze my playing visually and acoustically with the aim of improving my chops. storage is cheap, i trash
a lot of takes. i've been playing bass for almost 50 years now. watching and listening to myself has really taken my playing to another level. i highly recommend it even if you never post a video of your playing. but please feel free. ya can't do any worse than i did!
