just found another alembic easter egg in the mighty MK Deluxe.
i was playing it this afternoon when the both the LED and preamp batteries decided to give up the ghost at the same time. checking the install dates on the batteries, they lasted 1 day short of a year. this bass gets almost daily use, so that in itself is pretty remarkable (imho, at least). but the crazy part came when i opened the control cavity to change the battery. i must've left the LEDs on when i put the bass down. Apparently lighted control cavity isn't an option listed on the build sheet, but there it is. how cool is that?
