wiring low-pass Q
« on: July 07, 2022, 09:42:30 PM »
is it possible to have both "low-pass Q with switch" and "treble bass" together in same system.
What i have here appears to be AXY system, 2 humbuck size pickups, vol. for each pickup, battery
connect and output jack. When i purchased this system it had LOW-PASS FILTER with SWITCH, looking
for sound options and Mica's help i switched out the Q for the TREBLE BASS module. Now after many years
i would like to add the Q into the system with the TREBLE BASS, is this possible, if so what do i need and how
do do. I'm posting 3 photos.
   thank you much

Hi Richead,

The combination of filter+Q and bass & treble controls is known as the East-Meets-West package. If you still have the filter+Q components, you can probably order a little wiring harness to add them into the circuit. You need to check if the control  cavity has enough room for all the components, and you'll need to drill some holes, but it has been done before by Club members.

Thanks for responding so quickly. There is space in the cavity, i'm assuming these
modules would be wired in parallel, i inquired about this possibility of both modules
together through Mica many years ago i think a Y-adapter was mentioned.               questions:
? is there a diagram of the East-Meets-West wiring.
? can i purchase the wiring harness at ALEMBIC (if not are the connections Molex)
? with these 2 and 3 prong connections is one a send and the other return (am i
     making sense).
