Alembic “Roman Conqueror” Triple Omega Series II 5 String Bass - This particular bass was built in 2004 and is a “featured custom” on the Alembic website. Full details of this build can be found at the following:
Alembic - Featured Custom

I purchased this bass from the owners estate after the owner passed away. According to the owners wife, this bass was virtually unplayed and was part of a large collection of Alembic Basses. The bass is in excellent condition. Unfortunately, over time, the Cocobolo grain has shrunk in a few places, causing the clear coat to “sink”. This shrinking of the grain has caused a small crack in the clear coat near the control cavity. This “shrinking” of the grain are the only flaws on this bass. If it were not for the grain shrinkage, this bass would be dead mint. I recently received a quote from a reputable, well known luthier and was quoted approx $675 to repair the clear coat and bring this bass back to “mint” status.
Additional pics available on request.

$18K or Trade for Alembic 6 String Bass (Preferably Series II but will consider others) of equal value.
