It's interesting; I guess I knew but had forgotten about this detail... Hyak pickups are molded so that you have to mount them "Alembic-style" with two height adjustments under and the locks on the opposite corners. The holes are countersunk for the locking screws.
I'm reminded once again, I really need to get back on this project. It's playable, and sounds amazing as-is, so I'm not as motivated to go fooling with it, still, Nick graciously produced a full set of new-old-stock Hyak electronics for it, so it's pure laziness on my part to not get it done. I need to cure the neck releif/draft angle issue first, and I already have it sketched in my head...
