Well folks. I just spent a long time on the phone with the mothership as you guys seem to call it.
I have to say, what incredible people! Both Susan and Mica have been delightful to chat with. Stars in their own right!

So, long story short, I’m going to embark on a custom build of my long gone childhood bass.

So, my custom short scale bass from 2008, known here as "Adam’s Bass," is now officially for sale.

It’s mahogany with exquisite Gabon ebony "bat" inlays on top. Rosewood fingerboard and ebony peg headstock front and back. Scorpion horn. Mother of pearl binding on neck. Amber LEDs on side of neck. Plays and sounds like a dream, with series 1 electronics. I will use the proceeds to make a down payment on my build. I would absolutely keep this bass if there was any way to do it. It’s a top notch bass, in mint condition.
Used only in home and studio.

I know there’s a pretty extensive build thread from 2008, but I’m not sure how to add. Maybe one of you can add it here?

Knob peghead
Mahogany body with Inlaid Gaboon Ebony top
Graphite reinforced - Purple heart/mahogany neck
Rosewood fingerboard with Pearloid binding
Ovals in mother of pearl
Clear Gloss finish
Series I electronics with DS-5R rackmount power supply (included)
Amber side LEDs (when plugged into the power supply

I think that, technically speaking, that would be "one of Adam's basses".

He built so many, and they are so cool, that I think I once posted suggesting there should be an "Adam's Basses" subforum.
