So, just fiddling around on the interwebz with no particular place to go, so, just because, I was searching speakers.


Has it really been that long since I was in touch with things?  As near as I can tell from their websites, Altec, JBL, EV, & CV no longer sell just speakers; all manner of loaded cabs, cans, bluetooth stuff, etc. - but from what I saw, it seems like if I had an empty cab I wanted to load, Celestion, Eminence, and Tone Tubby are the only options!  (And Gauss is no more.)


Can this be true??

My gig-rig, (thanks to Rob V) is an old Mesa-Boogie Diesel 15, now loaded with a Tone Tubby Superman 15... one of my Fender Princetons is loaded with a Celestion, the other with a Tone Tubby. Both, I consider upgrades to the stock Eminence speakers. I would like to have that EVM15L bass driver fixed though... I don't think much is wrong with it.

My fav bass speaker of all time was a vintage EV 15 guitar speaker.
Had a super tone with a cool growl to it. However, it only lasted a year till it bit the dust.
