Paul, indeed. Those '76 Series basses have a strong vibe. I made an offer on David Hood's '76 a while back. My offer was  pretty high but it wasn't enough.

Very nice example of an early series bass. Love the honey hued patina that the maple has taken on. A little TLC with some Flitz on the bridge and tailpiece and your bass is going to to look as good as the day it left the mothership.

It reminds me very much of John McVie's '76. His "continuously fretted" Custom has 'framing' veneers on either side of the neck beam through the body, but other than that, this one could be its sister.
