Hey all, it’s been a *very* long time since I posted here. This is my bass, and like I said in the listing I don’t really want to sell it, but I do have fantasies of new customs etc. So yeah, I’m entertaining the idea. If anyone here is interested I’d be happy to discuss.

that might be one string too many for me.  still, something to consider.  maybe.  i dunno. it's early, haven't put the morning buzz on yet. might have to ruminate on this some more after things start making sense again  🏴‍☠️

Wow... There is a lot going on there!
Is the body core wood maple?

Got any specs on
 - total weight?
 - fingerboard width at nut, and at 24th fret?
 - string-to-string spacing at bridge?

Thanks.

The core is Ash. I'm not sure on weight or width of the fingerboard, I'll have to check those this week. I'll take it out of storage to take some better pics, etc.

Hey - nice to see you again, Austin!  Was this one a "replacement" (as if such a thing were possibly) for Dark Star?  Was she ever recovered?

This was ordered a few years after Dark Star was stolen, and the woods are similar. Unfortunately Dark Star was never recovered. At this point I have to think whoever has it knows better than to try and sell it publicly, so it's probably just sitting in a closet somewhere.

Or only played in the basement, late at night.

I still cast a pupil about for her every time I'm in a guitar store or pawn shop.  Not likely it would come here, but one never knows.
