2003 excel 4 string bass. Repainted, gold plated hardware, europa circuit...etc. All worked done by Alembic official dealer, GCat Guitar in september 2021. It's nice instrment, but I want to experience other alembic basses, especially Spoiler. I can pay more if exchange instrmunt is bit expensive than mine. Feel free to ask about instrument or exchange. It's in Republic of Korea, I can post it safely through GCat.

I didn't know that Excels are ash. I think it's my favorite Alembic now.
I have a 1999 Orion 4 I might want to trade with you.

I am so excited ! I shipped the Orion to G-Cat Guitars in Korea today for Youngjae. I look forward to the Excel so much !

The folks at Alembic went above and beyond to make this happen. Mica and Mary were so helpful and I got to meet the staff, and take some obligatory photos.

Youngjae didn't know I live only a few minutes away from the Mothership and he had expressed interest in sending the bass to Alembic to have the electronics changed to a filter Q system. I suggested I just take it there, have the work done, and then send it with nothing left for Youngjae to do but smile.

Mica put Youngjae at the top of the list so he could get his bass quicker and frankly, it was an EASY job, so nothing that 30 minutes couldn't solve. It's little personal touches like that that make a nobody like me feel like a somebody.

I just received my new to me black Excel from Korea. I look forward to getting to know it.

One thing I love about the Alembic community is I just sent a four digit bass to a complete stranger across the globe and he sent me his. I don't know of many other groups that can make that claim.
