Yep, it seems that you have indeed purchased one Series pickup and one hum cancelling coil. It's unusual that somebody would be selling only those two items, I kind of can't imagine how that came about.  Does the pickup have the same lead and connector?  Can't see it in the picture.

You almost have the makings of a "Series .5" but as Mica points out these pieces are designed to work with the entire Series instrument electronics package so it would take some major doing, and some serious cash, to build something around these pieces.

On the other hand, there may be folks here in the forum who would be interested in buying these from you, if you want to go another direction.

Or you can just hold on to these and hope that at some point you are able to acquire a Series bass on the cheap because only one of the PUs is working.

It is possible to wire a Series setup without the filters if you don't want to include all of that in the bass, but you would still have to use the Series preamp card to get the pickups to work properly.

Based on the wording of the ad the seller could not guarantee the pickup works, seems it should be tested before figuring out what to do with it.

Hi,this is all good information.I think the seller of these also had another one,I saw in his items sold someone thanking him for the quick delivery of an Alembic pickup.Maybe from the same bass?I'm not ready to sell these until I see if I can put something together to my liking.
