I saw this video and had to track down who the bass player was. Thanks to allmusic.com, I found him.

Well it's early TopPop, the single was out in 1974 - so I must have watched this as an 8 or 9 yo on national TV. We never missed an episode! We already had a piano, the first bass landed the following year, or I would have paid more attention to the bass player.  :o
