Kudos.
I was playing in a show band venue in ATL in 1974/75 off Cleveland Avenue, an Italian Restaurant at the indoor outdoor mall.
We were booked there for a week, Cody Marshall Band, homed in Underground Atlanta.
For the Weekend the bar booked Wayne Cochran Band!
They showed up in the tour bus - did a couple of shows. The first one was hot but tame.
Cochran closed the second show destroying the place! People were freakin'! He ended up pulling up the shrubbed plants next to the dance floor stuffin' them down the back of his cape, and neck, dirt and all.
Had his usher take him out all sweaty and filthy - as the band played his exit song.
Jaco had already left the band lineup- was probably recording his Eponymous LP and working with Herbie Hancock and company!
