A second thanks. It's also good to hear the bass is actually getting played and not sitting in a collector's showcase. With everything that's been done to restore this treasure, has anyone heard what the total cost eventually was to the current owner?

That's been my takeaway from the whole epic tale. Such a tragedy for that bass to be semi-destroyed and left forgotten and unplayable. Not only is it being played, but the music it was
made for
gets played on it. I'm a sentimental fool about these things, and I don't see how anyone could not be.

Last night at a Dark Star Orchestra concert in Felton CA, the bassist got to play Omega/Osage
and
#001, formerly owned by Jack Casady, onstage, brought out by Rik Turner himself. I wasn't there, but some folks posted pics on FB.
