What a horrible refinish job. Ew. Although I guess the days of deals on Starfires are long gone. I got mine ('67 in great shape) for $275 shipped. Which made it not such a big deal to mod it to my heart's content.

The solid positive attributes of this instrument appear to me to be that  it is a domestically produced instrument rather then one  of the recent imports . As well  it appears to be relatively unmodified and structurally sound and devoid of amateur nightmarish tampering . The finish can be easily altered . The price seems reasonable for its vintage and domestic lineage.  :)
