I recently came across this amazing guitar, which has been in storage for the past 15 years or so. This model was Kramer’s “creme-de-la-creme” and was released in limited numbers. All details that I have found on it are listed below. Alembic owners/admires will appreciate the attention to detail and the custom qualities of this aluminum necked beauty.
While I could mount this guitar on the wall as a piece of art, I am a bassist and would much prefer getting it to someone who will play it. I’m open to trading for an Alembic bass and will consider all variations of strings, models, scales, condition etc. Contact me for any details or questions. Cont US only please. I’m willing to trade/meet locally in New England as well.
NECK:
It has a straight neck attached to the body by three hex bolts underneath a narrow aluminum plate that features the serial number and place of production. The neck has 22 specially designed "center-touch" frets with a zero fret on an ebanol fingerboard with ten mother of pearl, crown shaped inlays as fret markers and a 25" scale. The ebanol fingerboard has the look and feel of ebony but the Kramer catalogue says it will not crack, warp, chip or shift. This guitar has a patented "tension roller nut" designed to eliminate tension and sticking when the string is bent or stretched so that it returns smoothly to its original pitch. The neck is kept straight by its aluminum, skeletal T design which also gives the guitar great sustain. The aluminum neck has slots for wood inlays to provide a natural warmth for the player's hand that the aluminum cannot. The neck and frets are clean with no wear. The aluminum, tuning fork headstock has no wear. The action is fast and the neck feels good to play.Description from VintageSilvertones.coPICKUP:
There are two very, powerful, active, double coil DiMarzio Dual Sound pickups. The neck pickup has smooth, crisp, clean, rich, full, sound. The bridge is full, clean, crisp and edgy. There are four black, translucent, plastic, numbered knobs: one volume and one tone for each pickup. There is also a three-way toggle to choose between neck, bridge and both pickups. In addition, there are two miniature switches (one per pickup) to turn the pickups into single coils for more tonal variation. Using these controls, the player can acheive a nearly unlimited variety of tones suitable for a myriad of musical styles. The pots are clean and in good condition. All guitar electronics work properly. Description fromDIMENSIONS:

Kramer...keeping pace in a changing world.Description from VintageSilvertones.com
As music changes, musicians need and demand more from the instruments they play. Basses and guitars designed years ago no longer meet the demands made by today's artist. The new DMZ 6000G and 6000B offer the artist the beauty, playability, design and active electronics to meet and surpass his demands.
You can see that our instruments look beautiful...
Now hear why they sound beautiful...Description from VintageSilvertones.com
Great guitars and basses don't just happen. The new DMZ 6000G and 6000B were conceived only after years of research, hundreds of prototypes and a considerable amount of input from top recording artists was evaluated. Painstaking attention was paid to the details such as weight, sustain, tone and action while developing these models.
Instruments of unsurpassed craftmanship and beauty, these two new members of Kramer's line of fine innovative guitars and basses have become the talk of the music industry.
