I think that means it has been returned to them multiple times for some reason.
i got a love/hate relationship with GC that goes back many years.
on the love side, they have an absolutely no-questions-asked (90-days i think, it may be longer now) no-hassle return policy on instruments. a couple of years ago, I had purchased a certain brand from them that's billed as the poor man's alembic, played it for 89 days, decided that it sucked (plus someone had put a real alembic elan up on ebay at a killer price that i jumped on), took it back and 10 minutes later i was out the door with all my $ back. try
that on ebay, reverb, any of the flippers that lurk therein or your local mom-and-pop (if there's any still around - that's the hate side of it).
so it wouldn't surprise me if it's a return. The condition of their used instruments is usually...used. sometimes well used. with lotsa issues that you don't notice until you've played it for a while. could be someone unloaded an abused instrument on them and now it's a frequent flyer.
