Good idea but it may be a good idea to come up with some type of format, or concept, as to how people can participate. While I find it nice to see friends on Zoom I haven't found it to be a very satisfying forum for group interaction with the exception of things like open mics where each participant gets a time slot to contribute, or for really small groups of people. Zoom gatherings with larger groups where there are no ground rules or format, IMO, tend to end up with everyone talking over each other, or one or two chatty people dominating the conversation unless someone moderates. The solution may be as simple as giving everyone a short slot to introduce themselves followed by a period for organized follow-up questions/responses. Think "Lord of the Flies" and passing the conch shell. No idea how to deal with the time zone issue when participants live all over the world...
