Nice looking older Series 1.

I wonder if that price is in U.S. or Canadian dollars. Still a bit expensive but   if the ad is listing the price in Canadian dollars that's about $7500 U.S. which is a lot more reasonable that $9,500.

I hope the screw through the hum-canceler didn't hit anything important.........

I've seen a few humcanceller coils screwed in. I think they may have come this way for a short time, maybe '74-'75. Happy to be corrected.

Yes - chances are that an HX with a screw in the middle came that way.

Interesting to see that this bass has two truss rods.

I'm the 2nd owner.  #7472.  I had the double truss rods installed by Rock's Guitar shop in Prince George, B.C. back in the 80s. Our Canadian winters had taken a toll on the neck. The dual truss rods and graphite inserts fixed those issues. The screw in the hum canceller is stock. Yes it's $9,500 CDN.

Not sure if this is the same bass, but it's a '74, in Edmonton, for the same price, posted 3 days ago. What are the odds?
