R.I.P. Chuck Yeager
« on: December 08, 2020, 11:23:55 AM »
Being that this entire forum, as well as the Mothership itself is all about sound, it just seemed appropriate to take a moment to remember a man who will always be closely associated with the science of sound.    I just may be watching The Right Stuff again this weekend.

Rest in Peace Mr. Yeager

There was/is a saying among test pilots:  "There are old pilots and there are bold pilots - but there are no old, bold pilots."

At 97, I do believe Gen. Yeager (who, BTW, enlisted as a private) put the lie to that one.

Barbara Eden put a nice note on her fan page too... I knew she'd met him, because of the IDoJ connection, but did not know that she stayed in touch- https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=3817598501605419&id=151281694903803&__tn__=%2As%2As-R
