I was thinking that guitar was for sale a couple-few years back. Didn't someone here go see it... down in Texas I thought?  My rusty ol' memory banks ain't what they usta' be...

Dickey said once that we made the headstock exactly the way he ordered it, and it was the ugliest thing he ever saw.

Is that perhaps the discussion captured in the first picture?  ;D


I always liked that one. Especially the rope-purfling, even around the scroll.  And the bird... not many like that.  8)
