awesome bass.  it's been listed on and off for quite a while now.  another case of what's it really worth.  fretless is kind of a niche, lotsa players can't make the leap.  it took me years of practice to get to the point where i was comfortable on stage with one.
which is another reason this one's gonna be on the market for a while - bueatifulness notwithstanding.  imho, of course 🤡

I'd agree that this is a gorgeous bass.  I just could never see myself purchasing an Alembic with a stinger. I take good care of my basses but would be so fearful that any trip outside my home could result in the stinger being broken off that it would never leave the house (and probably the case for that matter unless I was practicing alone). My bandmates are far nonchalant with how they handle their instruments for me to want to be in the same room with them if I'm holding on to this beauty.

The stinger is much less fragile than the omega tips, so don't let that part scare you.

A beautiful creation!  BUT it is a 21 yo Essence with Orion Electronics....you will need to find just the "right" kind of buyer to get that optimistic price.

Kinda like the person trying to sell that BecVar Bass....started at $8,000.00.....now down to $2,500.00 (eBay) and STILL no buyer.
Where are we going...and why am I in this Handbasket?

801662 - LEVIATHAN Series 1 4+6 Doubleneck
94K8781  Essence 6
01OW12582  Orion 6 fretless (Rouge Electronics)
04SY13333  Spyder 4 V headstock (#25)
02SY12927  Spyder 8 (#02)
96CB9610  Classico Deluxe 6 (The only 1)
F-1X, F-2B, SF-2, M1, M2 ELF

*sorry about hijacking the thread - i just couldn't resist*

i've been kinda watching that one with amusement for some time now.  my guess is that someone bought a pig in a poke and now it's getting to be desperation time.  i remember in the first couple of listings, it didn't even have G string on it.
i gotta question the quality of anything with hardware that looks like this:

ya might find that on a $500 USD bass in a pawn shop.  $1750 will get you a pretty nice new instrument at guitar center.  i'm just saying...
