Ron W. -the legend
« on: August 12, 2020, 06:40:56 PM »
I just wanted to share that I received an email from Ron W. himself! He's fixing my electronics right now. Getting a message from him is like getting to talk to Santa Clause! Pretty excited about it...Had to share this with people who understand my excitement.

I'm right there with you KR, getting ready to send one back home for a 40-year tune-up myself.  :D

*That being said: Santa is (reportedly) an Elf, and Mr W. is a Wizard. Distinctions, you know.  ;D

For sure. Ron is so incredible. I don't think he will ever realize what a giant he is in the music and electronics world.

For a second I thought you're talking about Ron Wood...
Not just a bass, this is an Alembic!

That's good news...I think. I've been waiting since December for an electronics upgrade but according to Mica some specialized equipment Ron used to do those didn’t take well to the move and needed to be rebuilt. I'm hoping this signals that upgrades are just down the road a bit.

Indeed legendary and humble - great traits and all the while WE reap the reward of his creative mind.    I am grateful.

Paul (always enjoyed Ron Wood, more as a solo artist than a Stone)

Wow Ed...I have to tune my bass regularly. I'd try one of these before shipping it back there for alembic to do it.  Much cheaper option ::) :o ;D ;)
