I miss Gary Larson's "The Far Side" too. (he would quite often inject musical humor into his strips)

*for instance- Raymond's School of Drumming right next door to the Institute for the Study of Migraine Headaches.

I'll admit I expected a Freak Bros. cartoon when I first saw this thread

Greg - Breathed is doing new Bloom County strips on a semi-regular basis; they are posted on his FB page, and then with a bit of a lag on gocomics.com.

Elwood - Now I'm going to have go up in the attic & dig out issues 1-7 of FFFB comics; they are the basis of my personal philosophy (and Junkwaffel #1, introducing Cheech Wizard - before he became a wizard, IIRC)

From Wikipedia: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bill_the_Cat"Bill spent time as an unintelligible rock star who sang and played "electric tongue" with his heavy metal band Deathtöngue, later Billy and the Boingers. Bill got rich when their song "U-Stink-But-I-♥-U" became a jingle for Wheat Thins, but he did not share the wealth with his bandmates. Although Bill was the front-cat of Billy and the Boingers, the band excluded him and disbanded when it became public that he spent his nights staying up late, reading the Bible with a nun. After this incident, Bill became the televangelist "Fundamentally Oral Bill", parodying (and, in the Bloom County universe, rivaling) real-life televangelists such as Jimmy Swaggart, Jim Bakker and Oral Roberts."

Let's try that again, it won't let me fix that teeny font!

I'll have to admit Bloom County was one of my favorite music joke comics ever.  I'm looking for one where Bill the Cat was ejected from a 3 Dog Night Concert after accidentally inhaling a bong 😂

If you select everything. and press the 2nd to last button...it will
remove any formatting (like gremlin font sizing).

If I see the three dog night /bong comic I know what to do  :D

Sounds like Zappa should have written a song about him.

That comic line also introduced the term "Truckin'" !

Bell-bottomed bearded guy stolling with his arms bent at the waist and a looong leg out-stretched for the next step on the stroll . . . Garcia and dead lifted?
