I also went to both Levis shows. That was a great setlist the first night, especially the “Live Dead” series of Dark Star>St.Stephen>The Eleven>Lovelight. And I will never forget the amazing appearance of the rainbow over Levis! I admit I initially wasn’t thrilled over the choice of Trey, but after the two shows, I thought he did a great job and really fit in well. I also paid for the streams from Chicago, and recorded them. Unfortunately, I lost the recordings when Comcast upgraded my box. It was nice to see them again, though constantly losing the stream and re-booting was a hassle. And, given the reality of the times we are living in, being able to pick up my guitar and jam along from my couch was as close to playing in a band as I’ve come in the last four months!
And it seemed appropriate that after spending the previous four days driving across the country while listening to the Dead Channel on SiriusXM for 14 hours a day, I got to come home, collapse on the couch, and watch the Dead all day!
I did hear more Dead & Co. on the drive than I had before. They really need a few shots of expresso! Gimme the real thing!
