Looking to buy - AUSTRALIA (only) - Alembic 4 string

Hello all,

First post here.

I am interested in purchasing an Alembic 4 string bass in Australia only.

I am located in Sydney and would love to see what might be out there, albeit i know that Alembics are a rarity in Aus. My only criteria is for a 4 string with filter-based electronics.

Hi Evan and welcome to the Alembic forum. i hope you find a great Alembic over there in Australia. We do see some come up from there once in a while and that its where I got my short scale series I from about 5 years ago.

Series I's are an amazing piece of art - well done on the find! Eight years ago i (foolishly) passed up on offer of a '77 Series II all original incl power supply for $4500AUD, been kicking myself ever since.

Glad to hear that you were able to find one in Aus and also promising for me in my search....Hoping to see if anything is out there!

If you like I can get in touch with the guy I bought mine in case he has knowledge of anyone alembics around. I recall he said he was a luthier so there is a possibility?
