Refretted with taller frets?

And some interesting details... single truss rod and plenty o’ straplocks...

Refretted with taller frets?

That is correct. Original owner had that done.

Phew saved by a self imposed bass ban. As gorgeous as it is, I wouldn’t pay out that much on a used bass even if i could afford it. I would prefer to save up longer and go custom build.

I think we've seen this before recently on Long Island.

Beautiful bass. This one is being flipped, price usually ping pongs around with this seller until someone is willing to buy. Whatever it finally sells for will be more than the seller paid. Adjust any bids accordingly...

Truth be known, this seller did hook me up with my "suh-weet" SC deluxe that I call Jacob, because it's fun to wrestle with. ( don't get me going with the biblical references). That one will be pried from my cold dead hands. So there's no complaints at least from me. But that bass, along with a fairly maudlin backstory, has been listed on eBay as well as intermittently on Reverb for about a year

Single truss rod rather than the dual.  Besides a little less weight, what would be the justification for asking for this?

I seem to remember Mr Clarke usually orders his with a single trussrod, so there's that

Could be a simple construction issue... broom-handle neck = no room for tandem truss rods?  ???

And also, the gent may have been 5’4. Or a young Bruno Mars. Or The Artist himself.

As I recall, for even better maximum versatility, the bass came with both polished silver hardware as well as a spare set of gold hardware which can be swapped out. Three flush mount strap lock females on the bridge end to accommodate the strap while standing or sitting as well as the std center one. But someone over-tightened the back wood cover plate so there's a slight crack, but no big deal. This guy was dying. He didn't even know if he'd be standing, sitting, or sideways. So he planned ahead for the next owner more than for himself. Truely an Alembicized buyer.
