(x) Is this an "old" Alembic bass?
« on: June 01, 2020, 06:44:00 PM »
I just bought this from a guy on a whim. He claims it is an old Alembic. The only serial number I can find anywhere on the bass is a sticker on the back of the headstock (#41202151). The number doesn't follow the format of an Alembic, as best I can tell. I even looked in the wiring cavity for a serial number - no go. I suspect I have a knock-off or some other brand. It does have a thru-body neck and it seems like a decent bass. If anybody has any useful info as to what it is, I'd really appreciate it.

Hi Jogeew, welcome, but I’m sorry to say that is not an Alembic bass.

Thanks. I guess deep down I already knew this. But I'd still like to know what I actually bought!

Hi Joey and welcome to the club.   Sorry you got ripped off.  Definitely not an Alembic.  At least now you know where you can get accurate info on all things Alembic.

This is not an Alembic bass. Sorry, I don't know who the maker is on this one.
