Farewell Astrid

Photographer & Beatles inner circle member (and girlfriend of original bassist Stu Suttcliffe) Astrid Kirchherr passed away May 12 a week shy of her 82nd birthday.

IIRC, Stu quit the band and stayed behind in Germany to be with Astrid.   Paul took over bass duties.  If Stu had stayed the Beatles might have turned into The Outlaws with a three-guitar attack!
