Bass tube preamp (modified Alembic, specially made to improve transistor combo)

Quite vague about the alembic connection. Is it a modified alembic circuit or a modified alembic unit. The listing doesn't explicitly say its an alembic unit but I think the vagueness may mislead an uninformed buyer.

I can't tell if the person's tech took an Alembic preamp and modified it or copied the design and modified it. In either situation I would not consider it a genuine Alembic preamp at this point since it has none of the original Alembic features or case of either the F-1X or F-2B.

Probably a modified Fender tone circuit as Alembic is and probably as good as the chosen component's quality and builder's engineering mastery. To me what really matters is Alembic's care to every aspect of their products and the quest for quality. I don't know if I can say the same regarding other builders.
Not just a bass, this is an Alembic!
