Did you find that the extra density or changed elasticity of the body made any difference in the tone?
(assuming that the resin added density or changed elasticity)

Well, it makes Buckeye Burl sound a bit brighter.

Can the resin technique be used with quilt maple?

I haven't seen it, but I will ask my supplier about it. Mostly I see it on burl and heavily voided woods.
