Looks sort of like a Jazz bass hooked up with a Ritter!  The last two pics in the ad are cool.  I’ve seen the bass a few times at the Bay Area Guitar Show.  The guitar in the last pic sure is sweet!

Bizarre - the tuning pegs don't fit the headstock - replacements? And the 5th string tuning peg is missing! It looks like someone "redid" it as a 4-string bass by just taking off the high string...

There appear to be a lot of good reasons this was a one-of-a-kind instrument, the headstock and five to four string conversion lead the pack.
