Asheville Mini-Meetup 11/29/19

Keith and his wife Rene were in the area for Thanksgiving, so we were able to meet up for coffee in Asheville this afternoon.  It was nice getting together again!  Keith looks well and appears to be enjoying life.

It had been quite a while since we had been up in the Asheville area and was nice to be able to visit with Dave for a bit and meet Diana.

Gregory, I did mention to Dave that maybe we could all get together at next year's IBMA World of Bluegrass in Raleigh.

IBMA 2020 is the week of September 29th - October 3rd. The biggest portion of the Wide Open Street Festival happens on Friday and Saturday if we want to take in some of that.

If there's a regional Alembic meet up in 2020, my SC Deluxe, Distillate and Spoiler would love to participate.  I'm at the northern end of the Shenandoah Valley in Front Royal.  Provided there are no gig or wedding conflicts - yes, I'm getting married again, but date not yet set - I'd love to be there!

By all means Paul, anytime you're coming down the I-81 corridor give me a heads-up. I'm down around Roanoke, 5 minutes off the interstate myself, and could be in Harrisonburg or Charlottesville in 2 hours. I haven't heard from him in a while, but I think Doug Simms still runs through here (with his old Series I #77-954) too.

We should try again this coming year. If a central enough location can be planned out, I think there's a dozen or so of us within a day's drive. I'll start a new thread on it.
