We’ve lost another great. I had a great hang with him in. A bookstore in Fayetteville. The best musicians all seem to be voracious readers.

Found out about this yesterday and was bummed. I was a huge Little Feat fan in the 70s and have many fond memories of shows through the years. Paul and the rest of the band did an excellent job keeping the music alive after Lowell George passed in 1979. Amazing band, the fact that they have never been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of fame is criminal.

RIP Paul give Lowell and Richie a big hug and then turn it up and jam!

Agreed; amazing band before and after Lowell George.

Just read a quote from Bonnie Raitt; "I just heard about the passing of another dear friend, Little Feat's Paul Barrere. A brilliant guitarist, singer and songwriter---a cornerstone of one of the greatest bands of all time."

First time I saw Little Feat was at Max’s Kansas City in 1973 opening for Bonnie Raitt. Most of Little Feat sat in with Bonnie and over the years I saw her sit in with them a number of times, a winning combo.

I loved her quote after Lowell's passing: "I miss Lowell George more than I miss being 5 years old." I guess she's carrying that particular tone of slide playing by herself now.
