I am in a downsizing phase and over the past 18 months i have successfully downsized my bass cabs. Now i'm focussing on my guitar rig. I have been trying out using my F1-x with a class D power amp into one of the new barefaced guitar cabs but it isn't giving me the wow factor that their bass cabs do So, I went to my local guitar shop today to see what was available for guitar stuff and came across a Tech 21, 60w powered guitar cab. I thought it might be a good match if i used my F1-x preamp to drive it. I am told its solid state and not class D so i wonder if anyone here else has tried these cabs with an F1-x or another non-modelling, non speaker simulating preamp.
The tonal reference i'm trying to get close to in a lighter package is something close to my Fender Twin Amp.
